1 he Baud Carnival is raoidly drawing to an end, ,l,ut nevertheless the interest js increasing, if one can judge by the huge attendances and ,tiie enthusiasm displayed bv the audiences. Last night the Theatre Royal was again filled The early part of the evening was devoted to a sale of goods. Mr L. A. Nolan welded the hammer, and as bidding was brisk a. quick clearance was effected. Hie Arcadian Revellers frisked about gaily, and delighted the audience. Three ot the candidates for Carnival Queen faced tne footlights, and all got a treat reception. The country candidate, Miss Hilda Bishop, gave a recitation, ''The Inventor's Wife." and, though a stranger to _ His audience, her pleasin? style quickly made her a favorite.
