WILSON'S PICTURES, OPUNAKE.

"FROM MANGER TO CROSS." The great picture, "From Manger to Cross," is to be shown at the Opunake Town Hall on Thursday evening for the first time. In connection with this wonderful film, it may be mentioned that the leading incidents in the Saviour's life were photographed in the, very places where tliev actually occurred. American and English men and women were employed only !or the leading characters. For all tli-- Minor role? and for tho picturesque ensembles the. natives were used; peonle whose customs have changed little in the 20CO vears since their ancestors walked side bv side with the Saviour on the plains of Nazareth and in the streets of .Terusalem. Where the manners and customs of the people have remained unchanged during centuries, it is possible to re-create ancient scenes wil lion* great difficulty, and the chances of nr< - serving historical accuracy are great.!,' enhanced. The moving picture poop! ■ found it comparatively easy to obtain all the local color they required. Nothing of importance has changed to such a degree that it could not he reproduced with remarkable fidelity to detail and accuracy, as stated before. This picture is to'be shown by arrangement with the Biblical Pictures. Ltd.. and Opunake is indeed fortunate in having an opportunity o' witnessing this wonderful production.
