Newspapers publish a letter in the late Herr Kopp's possession, wherein the Kaiser, in ,301, writing to Landgracfin Anna Hesse, when she became a Roman Catholic, strongly disapproved of her change of faith, and added: "J hate the religion you have adopted."'
The newspapers state that his Majesty expressed himself similarly on other occasions, though in milder form.'
