A DISASTROUS COLLISION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Rome, March 20. A steamer containing SO passengers, collided with a torpedoer, which was going at full speed. The steamer sank in a minute. The majority of the passengers were sheltering in the saloon owing to the cold, and few had time to escape. Italian and German bluejackets saved many. Lieut. Bossi was attempting to save a woman, when many victims clung to Hossi's neck, and lie was drowned. The city is in mourning and the theatres and restaurants are closed.
