RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH v. MANGOREX. The New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club sent a team of eight men to Mangorei yesterday, including the "Jonah" of the combination, and went down by throe points. The weather was just right, and there should have been some record scores, but many of the riflemen performed below their usual average. The Mangorei people gave the visitors the usual wmd time, which to a certain extent made up for the defeat. Owing to short time available, only seven sihots were fired at the 300 yds. range, but .letnt 500 yds. Scores were:— MANGOREI RIFLE CLUB. 300 yds. 500 yds. Ttl. T. Robson 32 47 79 T.
