COACH OVERTURNED.
"SEYEKAL PASSENGERS .NJUKJED. By Telegraph.--Presa Association. Wellington, Last Uwht. A special wire to the Evening Post from Waitomo states that while two couches were conveying visitors from the Cave 3 to the station, this morning, the first coach overturned. The road v.as in good order, and the horses quiet. The heavy coach was goine downhill, when the brake apparently failed. When.the news reached the hostel Mr Parmenter sent guides Simpson, Fryer, Stewart and Parker to the scene of the accident to render assistance. Dr. Gilmer (one of the passengers) attended to the injured, and Nurse Watts, of the Auckland Hospital, who was amongst the party, rendered invaluable assistance. Captain JoTinson and Mrs McLeod (of Takapau, llawkc's Bay) were the two principal sufferers. The sufferers are progressing favorably.
