MR. McNAB'S LIBRARY FOR DUNEDIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Duncdin, Last Night. A large number of citizens assembled this afternoon at the nublic library to take part in the formal presentation of the McNab collection, to the City of Duncdin. In the course of Mr McNab's research work concerning the early history of New Zealand, he has collected a valuable library, containing almost 3000 volumes. In explaining hi 3 reason for choosing the Dunedin librar- as the repository of the collection, Mr McNab said Dunedin was the home of his old University, and here alone would her future students be able to take advantage of it when the Chair of Australasian and Polynesian histof came to be established. The fact that both the Hocken collection and this collection were available in Dunedin would be two reasons for that cliair going to the University of Otago.
