13Y A FATHER',S I'UOMPTITUDE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Thames, Monday. A level-crossing accident occurred at Kopu this morning. A farmer named McLoughan and his son were proceeding to the factory, and when they men, crossing the line a train came .along. MeLoughan seized his son and jumped as the train dashed into the cart, which was smashed to splinters. The horse was uninjured. The boy is in the hospital suffering from cuts and bruises and a compound fracture of the leg. His escape from death was due to his father's prompt action.
