IMPERIAL PREFERENCE MUST COME. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 8, 5.5 p.m. London, March 7. Fifteen hundred delegates are attending the Tariff Reform League's conference. Mr. Austen Chamberlain, in a letter, regretted the Unionist party's changed attitude, but says they must do the best possible with the present programme. Speaking at a banquet, Mr. Chamberlain predicted the early return of a Government who will establish Imperial preference, which, once established, no earthly power can shake.
