RIFLE SHOOTING.
DOMINION MEETIXU. Thi! Dominion Rifle Association's meeting will begin at Trentham on Thursdays next. A squad of New Plymouth markers will leave for Trentham this morning. Tho following officers have been appointed to conduct the meeting:—Chief executive Ollieer, Colonel Collins; superintendent, Lieutenant-Colonel Hughes (Uangaiiui): quartermaster, Captain Mabiu; statistical officer, LieutenantColonel Hnreourt-Turner; range, officers, Lieutt unit-Colonel Cresswell, Majors Harper and Harnett. Capt-'in< :■'■-..er. Sailer, Mrtcmillan, I'iimii, Wilkinson, Chapman, ({rand, Wallinglurd, Rose, ami lh-nuer.,oll, and lieutenant Gascoigne. The musketry course for rille clubs lias this year been turned into a match, which ia very popular. Fewer service matohes and more ordinary shooting is a feature of the programme, whick is approximately as under:— Thursday, February 20. Servit* matches (B series and D series), tyros. Friday, February 27.—N0. 1 Opening Match (C series), and No. 3, Auckland match (first shoot for-thc belt). Saturday, February 2S. - No. ?, Westlaud Match, service teams' matches and miniature matches. Monday, March 2.—No. WeHin"tou Mutch, and No. 5, Canterbury Match. Tuesday, March 3 No. ii, Nelson Match, and No. U, Taranaki Hatch. Wednesday, March 4.—No. 7, Otag» Mutch, and No. S, •i&iwke'a Bay Match. Thursday, March s.—Service championship, King's Prize Match, and United Service Match.
