FLIGHTS IN AUSTRALIA. Received 22, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, February 21. There was a great crowd at the Fuindwick racecourse to witness Hawker's llights. which were highly successful. Exhibitions were given of high Hying, spiralling and volplaning. Lord Dennian and J'liss Strickland were among the passengers who made llights FLYING AT GORE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gore, Last Night. Scotland, the New Zealand aviator, successfully flew in his Caudron biplane from Tnvercargill ti Gore 011 Friday evening, the flight occupying about 20 minutes and the average speed being over a mile a minute. A demonstration took place on the Gore show grounds on Saturday afternoon, and was witnessed by a large and very enthusiastic crowd. It proved a most successful flight, lasting a quarter of an hour. He flew several times round the show ground. The maximum height was about (100 ft, and the speed 1 about 55 miles per hour.
