100 Yards Breast-stroke Championship—A. Squire (Ilnwera) 1, L. C. Armstrong (Wanganui) 2, A. Haing (Inglewood) .'{. Only competitors. ° Squfres secured the lead at "■"> yards and maintained it till the finish," winning bv 11/,I 1 /, lengths. .Armstrong was two lengths away. Time, linin 22 4-ssec.
Corfu Dive—C. Swan (Wauaanui) I. J. V.. Clapham (Wanganui) 2. Open Handicap, SO Yards—Spencc (Wanganui) 1. A. I.aing (Tnglcwood) 2, If. MeXiven (Hawera) .1. Won easily by two lengths, a touch between sec mid «nd third. Time, 3'lsec.
HH) Yards open Handicap—l.. C. Armstrong 1, R. Foden (Hawera) 2, C. Kiveil (Stratford )3. Foden led for iiO yards, after which Armstrong assumed' the lead and won fairly comfortable. Time, linin. IS 4-osec.
4-10 Yards Championship—T. Thomas (Wanganui) 1, A.'Foden (Hawera) 2. W. J. Claringbold (Hawera) was (be only other competitor. He did not liuish. After 150 yards had been covered Thomas and Claringbold were leading, and at 200 yards Claringbold got into Hie first position: but when "the --'CO yards was reached, Claringbold pulled out, leaving Thomas a good many lengths in the lead. In the finish Thomas won easilv. Time, Gmiu 27sec. Water Polo-Hawera defeated Wanganui, :i to 1. The winners have yet to meet New Plymouth.
The 100 and iwi yards championships were not decided, when the telegraph oflice closed.
