The itinerary is now as follows: January 30, leave (or Rotorua; February 4, leave for Pipiriki; (Ith, leave for Wlauganui; oth, play l Wangamii; 7th, play Palmerston North, and arrive "Wellington; bth, Mb and 10th, at Wellington; Uth, l-ith anil 13th, a'. Til 10 VISITORS. ENTERTAINED. The visiting bowlers Were entertained last evening at a social evening in Messrs. May and ArrowsmitU's rooms by the members of the Xew Ilymoutli, Eitzroy, and West End CluL'i, and about SO bowlers, spent two or three hours in pleasant fraternal intercourse. Mr. W. .1. Penn (president of the, Xew Plymouth Club, and also of the Taranaki Bowline Centre) presided. After light rcfrcsllments, a short toast-list was discu-sed, interspersed with mii.-ie.il items and reeitations.
After the usual'loyal toast, the president proposed -The Visiting Teams." which was responded to by Messrs. W. Robertson (Ifawcra), N. J.'King (Stratford), R. Lamhie (Piliama), H. (J. (Jarman (Eltham). 11. J. lSrennan (Opunake), and U. Morton (Jnglowoe.d). "The Taranaki Bowling Centre" was proposed by Mr A. (ioldwater, and responded to by Mr W. J. Penn (president) and Mr W. A. Parkinson (vicepresident). Other toasts were: ''The Ladies," promised by Mr jr. j. Brcnimn, and responded to by Mr (1. Hammond; '-The Umpires," proposed by Mr W. Ileal, and responded to by the umpires, Messrs. H. Dempsey and W. J. i Olmiicy; ''The Press," proposed by Mill Dempsey, and responded to by the representatives ot the Taranaki Herald and Taranaki Daily News; "Our Entertainers." proposed by Mr 0. X. Firth, and responded to by Mr J. R. HillH'ThChairman, proposed by MrM.J. Brem nan and duly responded'to. An excellent programme was submitted, Messrs. G Morc.y, J. Hnslam,."W.' Perry, and A. V Carbines contributed songs;' .Messrs. W. IT. Hawkins, Vius.cn, A. I[. Steeds,'and J. 11. Hill recitations, the latter giving •some bowling vev-es of his own com" position; piano solo and musical monologue Jiy Mr A. V. Carbine S: imitation of .cornet and-trombone by Mr Vinson. Mr W. J. Chancy provided several selections on his line phonograph. The majority qf the items were encored. Mr W.- Perry :ccoinpanied tlie vocalists. Roth vN'-tinjr and local bowlers'were unanimous in praising the arrangements for the tournament, and the work of the secretary, Mr O. N. Firth,-was especially eulogised. '
