SIR JOSEPH WARD.
CONFERRING WITH SOUTHERN LIBERALS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Yesterdav. .Sir Joseph Ward left for the West Coast to-day in order to attend the Juhileo celebrations. He declined to discuss polities, but it is understood he has 'been conferring with the local Liberals, many of whom want to see the Liberal Party make a substantial step forward in the matter of policy before next session.
