DISTRICT CHALLENGE CUP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night.; One of the special features of the military tournament which was concluded at Auckland yesterday was the contest for the District Challengo Cutf, presented last year by the officers of the Canterbury military district, the trophy being awarded on the highest aggregate marks in certain specified events which are summarised. The different districts scored as follow:—Auckland. 9 firsts, 3 seconds. 0 thirds, 42 points; Otago, '1 firsts, 13 seconds, 3 thirds, 41 points; Canterbury, 8 firsts, .'( seconds; 1 third, 31 points: Wellington. G firsts, 2 seconds, 6 thirds, '2B points. Auckland thus wins the District Challenge Cup (at present held by Canterbury) from Otago by the margin of one point.
