' As a result of negotiations between the New Zealand Rifle Clubs' Executive and the Minister of Defence, the rifle clubs are relieved from liability for accidents to markers on ranges approved by the Department, when the regulations governing shooting are rigidly adhered to. Free railway passes will be granted to rifle clubs for friendly teams matches. . At present many clubs are paying Jieavy insurance premiums on markers. The issue of free railway passes for teams matches obtained for many years, until it was cancelled three years ago.
