DREADNOUGHT DAY.

SHOPS TO RIOIAIX OPIiX. After fuiilier consideration the drapers and clothiers of the town have decided to remain open on Dreadnought Day. This decision lias not been arrived at through any lack of patriotism, but as a convenience to country visitors. It is recognised that there will be a large number of people in town who would bo glad to take advantage of a trip to town to do some shopping, and that the necessary convenience ought to be supplied for them. In order not to disappoint the employees, however, the shopkeepers are arranging to allow their employees off, one half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. An advertisement in this connection appears elsewhere.
