ENTERTAINMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES.. A new programme, well in keeping with its immediate, predecessors, will be screened at tho Theatre Royal to-night. One of the chief attraetions will be the Vitagraph picture "Six o'eloek," in which the leading part is taken by the popular picture favourite, Maurice Costello. Seng's are represented, with a powerful drama, "The God;pI)Goldj" a very interesting picture with an" exceptionally good moral. There are also the latest colonial happenings, depicted per medium of the "Australian Gazette,'!,a thoroughly good educational picture, that should be seen by old and younff-alike, entitled "Why you should kill that fly," and a varied selection of comedy and scenio numbers. BMPtRB PICTURE PALACE. A remarkably sensational dramatic film was released on the change of programme screened at the Empire last evening. The film in question ,is a 3000 ft. .Nordisk production, entitled "Dr. (Jar-el-Hamar," and fairly thrills the audience with its rapid and realistic episodes. Another "feature" film was screened, "Pursued by a Lioness," in which a man has. an exciting encounter with a full-grown lioness and a leopard during the progress; of the story. There is also a fine dramatic study, "The Struggle of Hearts," by the Lubin producers, and the usual leaven of comedy and scenic pictures. ',
