. THE PROPOSED LEGISLATION. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A large deputation representing the Friendly Societies waited on the Hon. F. 11. B. Fisher last night, and asked that before the Government introduced legislation dealing with Friendly Societies, the latter should have an opportunity of discussing the proposals, and especially the matter of subventions. Mr. Fisher promised to place the deputation's views before the Cabinet, and see if the requests could not be acceded to.
