Invercargill, Last Night,
At the Supreme Court to-day, before Sir Joshua Williams, the civil case Royds Bros, and Kirk v. Robert L. Wilson, Wainiate, was concluded. Plaintiffs claimed £596 for goods supplied to the grocery business conducted by Ed-, ward I. Wilson, defendant's son. Plaintiffs contended that Wilson, senr., was the owner of the business, and that the son was acting as manager. Defendant and his son denied that defendant was the owner of the business. His Honor reserved his decision. The Wallacetown Motor Omnibus Company proceeded against Wright, Stephenson and Coy for £2lO damages, sustained by a collision between plaintiff's motor bus and defendant's motor car. The collision took place in December last, and plaintiffs contended that it was caused by the drjver of defendant's car taking the wrong side when entering the main road from a by-road. The case is still unfinished.
In divorce a decree nisi was granted in Robert Jas. Phillpot versus Isabella Jane Phillpot, and Frank Skippington, with costs on the lowest scale against the co-respondent.
