A MILITARY ENQUIRY.
THE ORINGI INCIDENT,

Wellington, Monday.
The unpleasant incident at the Oringi Camp, which 'compelled a Post representative to beat a hasty retreat in order to avoid personal violence, has, it is understood, been the subject of a military enquiry. As a result it nas been found that the statements made by the Evening Post were in substance correct, and all the persons: concerned in the outrage have been Reprimanded accordingly. The Evening Post Btates to-night: "We have no desire to einbarrasi tn« Department, and in the hope that the action it has taken will prevent the recurrence of like incidents in future we shall not proceed further la the matter."
