The suffragists burned the pavilion of tha Middlesex Crifeket Club at Crouch E«4. Thres of the militants who were arrested at St. James's Palace were fined for obstruction.

Mrs. Pankhurst's license has expired, but she is very weak and confined to her bed. It is believed that no effort wilj be made to re-arrest her this week, unless she attempts to leave her house.

West End firms have been awarded , £BO4 against members of the Women's Union, who joined before March, 1912. Mrs. Lawrence pleaded that the speeches of Mr. Lloyd George and Mr. Hobhouse eneouraged violence. Mr. Justice Darling, in summing up, said that Mr. Hobhouse's speech was most unfortunate, and suggested that the suffragists had not produced a popular uprising comparable with that at Nottingham Castle in 1832 and the Hyde Park railings in 1807.

London, June 9. 1 .Miss Davison never spoke after the ' accident. Her family do not support the 'tailitants, but are willing that the ( Women's Sodial Union shall conduct the funeral.

Miss Chfistabel Pankhurst, in a manifestb, detljrfis that Miss Davison died to dill attehtion to women's wrongs. Argument has not convinced Mr. Asquith of the seriousness of the position, but perhaps Miss Davison's death may. There will be a public funeral in honor of a soldier fallen in the war of freedom.

The Hurst Park fire was discovered at midnight. Three parts of the grandstand, including the Roval boxes, was destroyed. The fire at the stables was speedily extinguished. Six incendiary fires occurred at Bradford on Saturday night. The first was in the office of the Wool Merchants, then in i Harrison's Printing Works, where £40,000 damage was done. The third fire was at a box-maker's, fifty yards away. Later a coach-builder's and the county schools were fired, and lastly a packing-case manufacturer's, where 'the damage was £IO,OOO. The total damage amounts to £BO,OOO. - Four hundred people have been rendered workless within a fortnight. A dozen outbreaks of fire occurred within a hundred yards during Saturday's outbreaks. The suffi agettes are blamed, but direct evidence is lacking.
