THE BENGAL CONSPIRACIES
WHOLESALE MASSACRES SUGGESTED.
AN EXTENSIVE ORGANISATION.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright,
Delhi, 'June 6.
The accused in the Bengal conspiracy number forty-four. The revelation originated on the information of the deputy magistrate of Miniapur, who caused a search to be made of his son's house at Dacca, wherein was found ammunition and a quantity of valuable jewels. Cipher documents proved that the jewels had been obtained by dacoity, and the documents found also contained proposals to seduce Gurkhas and Punjab and Mahratta sepoys, and the establish; ment of military centres for wholesale' massacre instead of isolated murders. An examination of other houses proved the existence of an extensive organisation.
