FARMERS' INSURANCE.

OTAGO'S SUCCESSFUL YEAR. Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Otago Farmers' Union Mutual Fire Insurance Association held its eighth annual meeting to-day, Mr. W. Grey presiding. The annual report showed a successful year, and the reserve; account had 1 again been substantially added to. The total insurance business had increased by £15,000; the total at the balance to date being f1,797,009. The directors were hoping to get power from. Parliament at ah early date to add accident insurance to the business., and thus further effect cheap insurances for the Farmers' Union and its members.
