A CASE OF THEFT.

Wanganui, Wednesday. A man, named Edward Graham, pleaded guilty at the S.M. Court to a charge of stealing £5 at Hamilton on March 22, and was sentenced to three months' imprisonment in Wellington gaol.
COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Wellington, Wednesday. Joseph Houlswortli Smith, a lieutenant of the senior cadets, was committed for trial to-day on three charges of indecent assault.
THE BOOTH MEMORIAL. Wellington, Wednesday. The appeal made for funds to erect a Booth Memorial Training College has resulted so far in £9078 being subscribed. Salvation Army officials are appealing for further donations, as £ISOO more will be required in addition to £IO,OOO for furnishing the building when it. is completed.
