Salared Dowleh's force Is within a couple of days' march of Resht. It killed the Sipahdar's grandson, near Tunekeboom. The Government is concerned at the dangerous development of Salared Dowleh's rebellion.
DESTRUCTIVE WATERSPOUT. Madrid, June 3.
A waterspout caused widespread havoc at Elegonde, near Pamplona. Many farms were destroyed and bridges swept away. Several persons were killed.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CONGRESS. Paris, June 3.
The International Women's Congress, Lady Aberdeen presiding, has opened. The Minister of the Interior welcomed the six hundred delegates.
CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS CHURCH, Boston, June 3.
Frederick Dickson, of London, is announced to have been selected as head of the Christian Scientist's Church.
