SHEEP-OWNERS' PROTEST.

Per Press Association,

Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of the New Zealand Sliep.powners' Federation, to-day, the. following, resolution was adopted: "That this conference of representatives of the New Zealand Sheep-owners' Federation has noticed with much regret that the ion Steamship Company has again employed exclusively members of the Federation of Labor at Timaru, thus ignoring the Waterside Workers' Union, recently formed there, and registered under the Industrial, Conciliation and Arbitration Act, and being in opposition to a statement made by Sir James Mills that the rights of free labor would be respected. The conference is of opinion such a course of action is opposed to the best interests of. the producers of the Dominion."
