ARMING LINERS.

BRITISH ADMIRALTY'S PROPOSALS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 14, 11 p.jn. London, May 14. The Morning Post states that it is hoped the principal liners to Australia, Canada and South Africa will shortly be armed, the Admiralty pr.ividing guns and possibly a hundred rounds per ship. The gun crew will mostly be naval reservists. The Admiralty will pay the gun crews .an extra threepence per days, and the gun layers ninepence. Naval reservists at the terminal ports will bo responsible for the training of the crews.
