The-support of a strong navy bv Mr. Hyndnian, chairman of the Socialist Party, was hotly discussed. Mr. Ilyndman undertook to express his opinion in a private capacity. Mr. Ilyndman's resolution, was carried, denouncing Mr. Lloyd George and the Government for raising the Plimsoll line, thus dooming large. numbers of seamen to death. A resolution for ejecting the chairman for insulting delegates was rejected.
