LABOR TROUBLES.
COMPULSORY ARBITRATION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 14, 12.40 a.m. London, May 13. The Industrial Council was unanimous against compulsory arbitaration in disputes. The representatives of capital and labour Opposed on different grounds Sir George AsKwith's proposals for temporary suspension of the right to strike and for penalties for breaches of agreement. The two parties are also divided concerning possible alternatives.
