THE CITIZENS' BALL. Per Press Association. Auckland, Friday. The Citizens' Ball, held in the Town Hall last night in honor of the officers of the :New Zealand, was attended bv fully 1000 people, about 700 taking part in the dancing. The function was one of the most brilliant and successful held here. The Earl and Countess of Liverpool, the Prime Minister (Mr. Massey), and the Hon. Mr. Bell were present. At noon to-day 250 men from the warship were entertained at luncheon in the Town Hall.
