There was a splendid floor, and | Rogers' orchestra provided good music. I Added to this were the excellent supper i provided by the ladies and the courteous attention of Mr. J. W. Jones as M.C. The Stratford F.C. held a good practice on the showgrounds yesterday afternoon. There was a good muster. The senior backs were : played in combination, and showed themselves capable of doing things well. Municipal and Hospital Board elections on Wednesday next. | In this issue Mr. W. Kirkwood returns thanks to the ratepayers for the compliment tendered him in re-electing him as Mayor of Stratford unopposed. The Stratford bowlers played a progressive pairs match oil the local green yesterday. Eight pairs competed, and McDonald and Eyan eventually turned out to be the winners.
