It is officially stated that the Pope passed a tranquil night. The fever has diminished, but there are symptoms of tracheal bronchitis, which persist, especially in the left side. The kidneys are working well, and his general condition is satisfactory. Physicians are convinced that he will recover. AX AGGRAVATING FEVER. Iteceived 14, 5.5 p.m. Rome, April 14. The Pope's physicians, while declaring that there is no immediate danger, admit that the disease is making steady headway, and that the bronchial catarrh is extending towards the lungs. Monsignor Osservatore says that the fever stopped on Wednesday and returned on Saturday, with aggravating fever, which has since slightly abated.
