THE MINISTERIAL VISIT.

NORTH TARANAKI ARRANGEMENTS.

The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce has decided to support the deputation from the Opunake Railway League and the Awakino County Council with reference to the erection of a bridge across the Mokau lliver; and also to urge the claims of the »Strutford-Main Trunk railwav.

The Railway League has appointed Messrs. A. 11. Johnstone, W. ,1. Penn and S. W. Shaw delegates to attend ft conference of representatives from the various branches of the league to be held at Okato to-night to arrange for concerted action on Friday. It has also been arranged that several members of the committee should go to Rahotn on Friday morning to meet the Ministers anil aecomimnv them along the coast. Mr. 11. Trimble, chairman of the Taranaki Education Board, will interview the Prime Minister on Friday night re a grant for the erection of a new school at Vngeltown, and for the building of additions to the Technical School at New Plymouth. Mr. Trimble will also bring under the notice of Mr. Mnsaev the desirability of recognising th" Technical College as a day Technical School, and | that primary schools should be placed in a similar position with regard to sub-1 sidies or donations that are now held by District High Schools. Mr. Okev has received advice from Mr. Massey that the .Mayor of Inglewood had telegraphed that Inglewood residents would like Mr. Massey to have lunch there on Saturday if convenient, and asking what be would advise. Mr. Okey has wired that ,it would be possible to alter the arrangements so as to reach Inglewood for lunch at 1.0 p.m. That will necessitate leaving New Plymouth at 8.30 a.m. for Waitara, which will be reached at 0 a.m.. leaving that town for the Mountain House at 11.30 a.m., and then on to Inglewood at 1.30 p.m. All arrangements for deputations at Tnglewooit will be altered to take effect after lunch. The Prime Minister is to be entertained at Wanaanui on Monday. (For itinerary see page 3).
