The miners who spent St. Patrick's Day in the flooded Townhead mine have been rescued. A GALLANT RESCUE. • London, March IS. A number of workmen were overcome by gas in a sewer at Bays water. Firemen, with smoke helmets, rescued two and bravely endeavored to rescue a third, but failed. The rescuers were renearorUv hauled to the surface unconscious. Two firemen perished.
