SYDNEY ROYAL SHOW.
THE OPEMXG CEREMONY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, March 18. The Royal Ajp-icitlturai Show opens to-day. In spile of the drought the entries are well up to the average, and some sections are records. During the year £42.000 was spent on the erection of a pavilion and other improvements. A PROSPEROUS SEASOX. Received IS. 0.30 p.m. Sydney. March ]7. The weather is perfect for the opening of the show, which promises to prove an unusually brililant success. The cattle sections have been somewhat affected bv the drought, and Clydesdales have suffered from the paucity of New Zealand entries, which have been a feature in past years. Sheep, despite the dry season, form an excellent display, but pigs are not worthy of the occasion and the magnitude of the. industry in the State. XEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES.
