Fraser sued Osmond Dislay and Ins wife, al] of Haleombe, for £507 damages ior slander and Tmtlioious proseeution. lho ease was the result of a recent private prosecution in the Magistrate's Court, when Fraser was charged \vitli having assaulted Mrs. Dislev the affair being alleged to have taken place in a bakehouse. The ease was then dismissed. Jhe jury to-day awarded the plaintifl £IOO.
