The City Council will forward an official letter to Mrs. Scott. The Eoyal Society of New South Wales has cabled to the Royal Geographical Society of London expressing sorrow. Melbourne, February 12. Mr. Hughes, on behalf of the Commonwealth, expressed regret. A cablegram will be sent to Mrs. Scott. Rome, February 11. , The Italian Chamber has sent a message to the House of Commons, expiessing sympathy with Britain regarding the Antarctic tragedy.
