■ NATIONALIST VICTORY PREDICTED. EXTRAORDINARY SCENES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 31, 11.15 p.m. London, January 31. A Nationalist victory is forecasted at (Deny, after a strenuous record. At noon 75 per cent, of the voters had polled, and there was then a fierce contest to gather in the remainder. Many remarkable incidents occurred. A man evading a warrant returned, risking arrest, and voted. Bedridden men were carried to the booths. One Unionist died before he recorded his vote. Several sick Nationalists, accompanied by priests prepared to administer the last rites, were carried to the poll. The city has been proclaimed for three days as a precaution against riot. Two hundred troops and 500 constabulary are in readiness.
