Tlie Newcastle Labor Council supports the Burwood wheelers and the Colliery Employees' Federation. Tin: Newcastle Labor Council sent a deputation to Mr. Carmieliael, Labor Minister, regarding Burwood. They agreed that the men should be recommended to resume under the conditions required by the manager, upon which the question in dispute, mainly the time of starting, will be referred to Judge Scholes for immediate investigation. Other matters will be referred to a general tribunal subsequently. -Mr. Carmichaei was hopeful that the recommendation would be accepted.
