Dubost previously retired from the contest. THE CONTEST FOR THE PRESIDENCY. Received IS. 12.20 a.m. Paris, January 17. M. Poineare's determination to contest the Precidency in defiance of his party's wish, led to a stormy meeting of the party. The speakers characterised M. Poincare as ail adventurer who had strangled party discipline.
