ABXORMAL RAINS. By Cable—Press Association- Copyright. Received 17, 11.5 p.n:. Brisbane, January 17. Heavy rains have, fallen on the coast. They were abnormal at Bundaberg and Maryborough. Tbirtv-two inches fell at Bundaberg in 4S hours. The rivers are flooding the wharves, and low-lying lands are inundated. .Many washaways occurred, and the railway traffic is dislocated. A man named Bax was drowned while crossing a creek at didders. Received IS. 12.20 a.m. Brisbane, January 17. The rain has eased and the Hoods are receding.
