MYSTERIOUS DEATH.
SECOND INQUEST ORDERED. THE DRUG HABIT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 15. In the ease of Hugh Trevanion, who 1 died from an overdose of veronal, it appears that Trevanion was a great friend of A. E. Roe, with whom he toured the world. They subsequently lived together. At the first, inquest Roe gave evidence that Trevanion said he had taken an overdose of veronal, but became unconscious before the doctors arrived, and, died after two days. A post-mortem was not held, though Trevanion's mother urged it. The High Court has ordered a second inquest. EVIDENCE AT THE ENQUIRY. London. January 15. In her evidence, .Mrs. Trevanion said that doctors lind repeatedly warned her *on about the drug habit. lie lived much apart from his family. Mr. Muir, who appeared on behalr of the Crown, said that, Trevanion was in' the habit of taking a cachet containing seven grains, to induce sleep, and sometimes a second. It was impossible he could have taken twenty-one in error. Ihe statement, of Trevanion's companion was the only proof that Trevanion took veronal prior to his unconsciousness. TREVANION'S WILL. Received 17, 12.5 a.m. London, January 10. , Five caveats have been issued against Tievanion'.s will. With the exception of legacies amounting to £1550, he left the residue to Roe or to hospitals if Roe predeceased him. .Both lived in sumptuous apartments at Hove. He met Loe two years ago aboard a liner, of which Roe was an officer. Trevanion uah taken seriously ill, and Roe nursed him. This resulted in the closest friendship.
