THF INQl.'l'^T. An inquest on the "body of Harold Ballintyne Bracken Hirst, who was drowned on i.lic Mokau beach on the Bth instant, was held at !) a.m. yesterday morning, before 8. W. Nicholls, Esq., • LP., and a jury of four, and the following verdict was returned: —'•Thai;- the deceased was accidentally drowned while bathing on the Mokau beacli on the Sth in~ianl. no blame attaching to any person.-' The jury also wb.'i (o place on record tl-e'r appreciation of the efl'orls of Allan Fcatherson Little is assisting his brother ashore and his attempted rescue of the deceased. THE FUNERAL. The funeral of the High School boy. Harold Hirst, who was drowned at Mokau last week was held yesterday afternoon, and was attended by a large and representative gathering of citizens and the deceased lad's schoolboy friends. The pallbearers were six of his schoolmates: Sinclair, W. Ewing. Candy. Hooker. Pott, and Jenkinson. Many beautiful floral tributes were received by the parents of [the deceased. The interment took place [ at the Te Henui Cemetery, and the last (sad rites were administered by the Rev. A. H. Colvile.
