GENERAL TELEGRAMS.

REEFTON NEWS. By Telegraph—Press Association, Reefton, Last Night. The long spell of dry weather has been broken up by steady rain all day. It will do much good. The mines are very active in restarting. Experienced miners are hadly wanted for the New Big River mine as well as the Consolidated Group. In spite of great difficulty, the engine and boiler have been transported to the top of the hill at the New Discovery mine, and crushing will soon be started. An accident to the popperhead at the Keep-it-Dark mine delayed restarting. A lot of old hands are returning.
