FIGHT WITH THE CHINESE. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Peking, January 2. Advices from Chengtu state that the Tibetans, profiting by the reluctance of Chinese troops to follow their officers over little known and difficult territory, attacked them near Ilsiangchang. Three hundred Chinese were killed and six machine guns 10-t. The siege of Batang continued for a month. The garrison was relieved after fierce fighting. and the district cleared of Tibetans.
