THE SLAUGHTERMEN'S DISPUTE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The difficulty which has arisen between the slaughtermen and freezing companies is in a state of suspense. The cancellation of the registration of the several unions will be complete about the middle of next month. Meantime such concessions as the companies decided to make at the Christchurch Conference have been submitted to the men, and jt is understood that there is small likelihood of their acceptance. Negotiations are still in progress.
