FIRES.
A JJUXEDLY OUTBREAK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Monday. Butler's stock and building were insured for £.500 in the Atlas oirice. The stock was damaged to the extent of £250.
A RESIDENCE BURNED. Gisborne. Monday. The residence of ,1. D. Bell, at Mangapapa, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night. The building was insured for f.'JOO in the Government office, find the furniture for £IOO in the Queensland office.
FIRE AT OKATO. A fire occurred at the Oxford Road, near Okato. at about 7 o'clock on Sunday evening, whereby a five-roomed house, owned and occupied by Ml". J, Moorlv, was, with its contents, completely destroyed. Mr. Moorly aim family were visiting a relative some distance away, and returned when attracted by the glare. The fire bad, howover, too much, hold for anything to bo saved. The building was insured for £75, and the contents for £SO in the South British Insurance Company, but the loss is considerably above that amount. The cause of the fire is unknown. !
