FIRES.

A DWELLING DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Njght. A house of nineteen rooms, known as Lake View, Ohinemutu, was totally destroyed by fire to-night. The building was owned and occupied by Mr. Neil Buchanan, proprietor of the Waiwera Stables. It was over thirty years old. Mr. Buchanan was absent in New Plymouth, and it is not know whether the liou.se was insured. A lighted candle near the window caused the fire. A COTTAGE BURNED. Westport, Thursday. A cottage was burned at Ngakawau. This made the fifth fire within six months. If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Devon street ;telephone 198. Webster Bros., district agents. Insurance effected on the most favorable terms.—Advt.
