THE OVERTIME BOOK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A prosecution under section 58 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Amendment Act was instituted against Jolm Wardell grocer, this morning, charging liim with the failure to keep a wages overtime book according to the form prescribed bv the regulations. Defendant contended that a book showing overtime where there was any, but containing no entry where there was no ovsrtime, filled the requirements of the Statute, and no power was given under the Act to give w r F at 1 10 ? A fine of £2 was imposed. TROUBLE IN TIMARU. Timaru, Last Night. ™ , l f Wl th the waterside workers (lederationists) is again threatened concerning two railwaymen employed on the wharves, a crane driver and "a tally c eric, over whom a temporary strike occurred some time ago. This was ended by the two men joining the union. They nave since given notice of withdrawal, and the unionists state that they will not work any vessel at which these men are employed after terminating their notice of withdrawal. A statement is curlent that ail endeavor is to be made to form an Artiitrationist Union anion" the watersiders. °
